What we’re reading: Etzanoa and the scholar who won’t quit
Archeologist Don Blakeslee has a fascinating story to tell about the ancient Quivira, a large and influential society based near present-day Arkansas City, Kansas.
Except many of his colleagues in the field are skeptical about Blakeslee’s claims.

Loan a treasure to the Ulrich for an upcoming museum exhibition
“Getting Personal,” a participatory exhibition that will open August 19 at Wichita State’s Ulrich Museum of Art, centers on the stories behind the objects we hold dear — like a T-shirt from a long-ago concert or a trinket from childhood.
Anyone connected to Wichita may submit a personal item or piece of local history to be considered for inclusion in “Getting Personal.” To participate, take a tour through your home and identify a treasure that has emotional or historical significance, then complete this form to share its story.
