The following announcement is based on a press release from the Ulrich Museum of Art.

WICHITA — Wichita State's Ulrich Museum of Art and CityArts invite the community to discover "U Bare It," a collaborative exhibition exploring vulnerability, identity, secrets, and the complicated truths we carry beneath the surface. The exhibition is on view at CityArts, 334 N. Mead St., through December 12. An exhibition opening celebration takes place 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 6.

By showcasing works by anonymous artists alongside opportunities for visitors to contribute their own stories, "U Bare It" challenges the traditional boundaries between looking and participating.

Through artistic expression and audience participation, the exhibition asks What do we choose to share or protect? What truths become easier to face when we realize we aren't alone in carrying them?

Visitor participation opportunities includes an anonymous secret-sharing wall and a digital voice-changing message recording so visitors can listen to or share secrets at the exhibition or online at ubareit.com.

"As part of a broader commitment to making art accessible, participatory, and deeply connected to the community, 'U Bare It' is an experiment in openness. One that asks what becomes possible when we loosen our grip on the things we keep hidden and make room for connection, honesty, and the unexpected," according to a press release shared by the museum.

This exhibition is one of several satellite exhibitions planned in conjunction with "Bare It All," a salon-style show that displays about 20% of the artworks in the permanent collection of the Ulrich Museum.
