KECHI – Kechi Playhouse’s fourth play of their 44th year is "Office Party," written and directed by Misty Maynard.

Owen is nothing if not exciting. When the wanna-be entrepreneur decides to reopen the town’s abandoned skating rink as an office supply store, his best friend, Egbert, and very pregnant wife, Rene, get swept along in his enthusiasm. However, when a series of accidents leads to the business being mistaken for a party planning service, Owen jumps on the new plan with gusto. Featuring an overly enthusiastic Egbert fan and a mail person with dreams of becoming a cop, this farce is designed to elicit laughs.

This production stars Andrew Johnson, Bradel LaBrue-Layman, Hannah Smith, Anna Bohr, and Mike Taylor. The production team features direction by Misty Maynard, set design by Richard Shultz, and costumes by the cast.

Performances take place September 11-October 4 at Kechi Playhouse, 100 E. Kechi Road in Kechi, Kansas. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sundays. General admission tickets are $18 on Fridays and Saturdays and $17 Sundays. The show runs 2 hours.
