New shows are on view at CityArts, including "Paper Trail," an exhibition of collages by Marc Bosworth, the longtime creative director of Alpha Charlie Marketing (formerly Greteman Group) and onetime Famous Dead Artist.

The collages, each created in a "burst of activity" are composed of everyday ephemera: cancelled stamps on torn envelopes, paper bags, comics strips, technical drawings, and more.

"Paper Trails" is on view in the Boardroom Gallery on the second floor. Also on view at CityArts:

• "Mixed Bag," pop-art-inspired paintings and drawings by Retsof in the second-floor Balcony Gallery
• "Broken, but Beautiful," a group exhibition of "artworks that have been fractured in some way and carefully restored, embracing imperfection as part of their stories." Many of the works in the Main Gallery and Main Hall have been literally damaged, while others offer interpretations of the theme.

All exhibitions are on view through October 24. The art center is open to the public from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturdays. A First Friday reception will take place from 5-8 p.m. October 2.
