Classical Revolution ICT returns to White Crow Cider for 'Cider & Strings'
At the informal pop-up concert, the audience is encouraged 'to come and go, enjoy a cider, visit with friends, and interact with the musicians.'

WICHITA — Following a successful inaugural event this spring, Classical Revolution ICT will return to White Crow Cider Company for Cider & Strings from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, July 31.
Cider & Strings is one of several pop-up performances presented by Classical Revolution ICT, continuing the organization's mission of bringing live classical music out of traditional concert halls and into informal community gathering spaces. The nonprofit also produces the monthly Bach & Brews series at Tor Brewing in Wichita and seasonal Beethoven & Beer at Sandhills Brewing in Hutchinson.
The July 31 program features the Vesper4 Saxophone Quartet (Hannah Kavanaugh, Sophie Tompkins, Ethan Grohe, and Juniper Green), recorder player Jacob Mashak, and bass clarinetists Alicia Gutierrez Oviedo and Andrew Carlson. Audience members can expect three short sets of live music featuring a variety of classical and contemporary repertoire in a relaxed, social atmosphere.
Unlike a traditional concert, guests are encouraged to come and go, enjoy a cider, visit with friends, and interact with the musicians throughout the evening.
"We're excited to bring Cider & Strings back to White Crow after such a great response to our first event," said Alex Johnson, founder and coordinator of Classical Revolution ICT. "White Crow has been a wonderful partner, and this series continues to show that classical music can feel right at home in spaces where people naturally gather."
Admission is free, with donations encouraged to support local musicians and future programming. The event is family-friendly and open to the public.
