The following announcement is based on a press release from Classical Revolution ICT.
WICHITA – Classical Revolution ICT will return to White Crow Cider Company from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, October 30, for for another evening of live classical music with a Halloween twist.
Cider & Strings is one of several pop-up performances presented by Classical Revolution ICT, continuing the organization's mission of bringing live classical music out of traditional concert halls and into informal community gathering spaces. The nonprofit also produces the monthly Bach & Brews series at Tor Brewing in Wichita and seasonal Beethoven & Beer performances at Sandhills Brewing in Hutchinson, Kansas.
The October 30 program features clarinetist Jason Alfaro on B-flat and E-flat clarinets, flutists Sarah Wessley and Chastity Pawloski, and vocalist Melody Prater with pianist Briley Lewis. Audience members can expect three short sets of live music featuring a variety of classical and contemporary repertoire in a relaxed, social atmosphere.

And with Halloween just around the corner, guests are encouraged to get into the spirit of the season. Costumes are welcome!
Unlike a traditional concert, Cider & Strings invites guests to come and go, enjoy a cider, visit with friends, and interact with the musicians throughout the evening. No concert etiquette or prior knowledge of classical music is required—just come as you are and enjoy the music.
“Classical Revolution ICT is all about creating spaces where people can enjoy live music without the formality of a traditional concert,” said Alex Johnson, founder and coordinator of Classical Revolution ICT. “We love bringing local musicians into community spaces like White Crow, and a little Halloween fun makes this event even better.”
Admission is free, but donations are encouraged to support local musicians and future programming. The event is open to the public and family-friendly.
